On New Frontiers, we identify and accelerate new ideas that can positively impact people and planet. We do this through research, convening, catalytic funding, and strategic advising and coalition building. Much of our work involves the impacts of artificial intelligence or innovations in democracy and economic systems that can build greater community and opportunity for all.

Digital systems that accomplish basic, society-wide functions played a critical role in the response to the Covid-19 pandemic, enabling both public health and social protection measures. The pandemic has shown the value of these systems, but it has also revealed how they are non-existent or weak in far too many places.
