Project: “Europe After Putin: A New Security Order in the 21st Century”


William Drozdiak is a critically acclaimed author, journalist, and editor. He previously served as Foreign News Editor and Chief European Correspondent for the Washington Post and was nominated as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting in 1999. In addition to writing more than 2,000 articles on foreign affairs, William is an author of two books. He visited Bellagio in August 2023 to conduct research for a new book project exploring the geopolitical consequences of Russia’s war in Ukraine and analyzing how it may reshape the security landscape across Europe. William is currently the Global Europe Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.
