Bellagio Residency: June 2022
Project: “Lost (and Found) in Transition”
Theo Sowa is a leading women’s rights and social justice activist. In June 2022, Sowa organized a group residency for feminist leaders at Bellagio, co-creating new models to apply feminist values to organizational change. As CEO of the African Women’s Development Fund, Sowa led the organization through a period of increased reach, impact and influence globally. She is now Co-Chair of the Equality Fund and continues to advise on women’s and children’s rights and social justice for a range of national and international rights organizations.
