Project: “Using stories to fuse facts and feelings to motivate climate change action”

Shahzeen Attari’s work – which focuses on people’s judgments and decisions about climate change and resource use – has been featured in the Washington Post, New York Times, and the Economist among other news outlets. She was the recipient of the Andrew Carnegie Fellowship and previously named by Science News as one of the Top Ten Scientists to Watch Under 40. Attari visited Bellagio in May 2022 to investigate how stories can help to fuse facts and feelings related to climate change in order to bridge growing partisanship on climate action. She is an Associate Professor at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington.
