Project: “A Collision of Stressors: Antimicrobial Resistance in an Era of Climate and Ecological Disruption”
Rod Schoonover is a scientist and national security expert. Schoonover came to Bellagio in September 2022 to examine how three of the Earth’s most pressing concerns – climate change, biosphere instability, and antimicrobial resistance – intersect and amplify one another with special attention given to implications for human, national, and global security. He is the founder and CEO of the Ecological Futures Group, which examines the natural security and societal dimensions of global ecological change, and an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University.
