Project: “Seasonal Adversities: An Ekphrastic Graphic Poetry Collaboration”
Panch Alvarez is a multidisciplinary artist, author, illustrator, and visual communicator. His work has been featured in multiple solo and group exhibits in the Philippines and abroad, and his illustrations have been published in numerous books and articles of national circulation. In 2021, one of his works was used as the main image in an art event at the Art Basel in Miami, Florida, USA. Panch came to Bellagio in May 2023 to collaborate with Joel Toledo on a poetry and visual art project offering first-hand insights on the immediacy of the climate crisis in the Philippines, with the goal of increasing the role of Eco poetry and eco-art in the modern world.
