Each year, we select three exceptional artists, whose works are both innovative and interdisciplinary, and who will contribute to and benefit from the stimulating Bellagio Center community. Today, the Bellagio team is excited to announce our 2014 Bellagio Creative Arts Fellows: Dinh Q. Lê based in Vietnam, Berni Searle from South Africa, and Wu Tsang from the United States.
The Bellagio Creative Arts Fellowship (BCAF) is a prestigious program, which recognizes visual artists whose work is inspired by global or social issues, and demonstrates exceptional originality. Established in 2008, the BCAF program—selected by a distinguished international panel—helps to advance the work of some of the most innovative, contemporary visual artists and seeks to raise their visibility in new arts, policy, and academic circles.
The combination of an extended stay, generous stipend, private work space, and access to a unique group of fellow residents and conference attendees makes a Creative Arts Fellowship at the Bellagio Center a remarkable and unparalleled opportunity in the global arts community.
Please join us in congratulating Dinh, Berni, and Wu on their acceptance into the program.
