Shawna Hoffman joined The Rockefeller Foundation in early 2016. As a member of the Evaluation Office, she works with staff, grantees, and partners to assess the Foundation’s programmatic work, capture lessons about what works and contribute to the global evidence base for resilience and inclusive economies.
Passionate about using data and evidence for social good, Shawna has experience supporting monitoring and evaluation within various government, bi/multilateral and non-governmental organizations, including the Canadian International Development Agency (now Global Affairs Canada) and World Food Programme. Immediately prior to joining The Rockefeller Foundation team, Shawna worked at The MasterCard Foundation, where she supported monitoring, evaluation, and strategic learning for a large portfolio of complex programs across Africa.
Shawna holds a B.A. in Political Studies from Queen’s University and a Masters of International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University.
