Dick Blum’s life, values, and generosity touched so many people here in the United States and all around the world. As a business leader, philanthropist, and advocate for global development, Dick helped shape a phenomenal era of global progress. And with the book Accident of Geography, the American Himalayan Foundation, and the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California at Berkeley, Dick also helped inspire a new generation of change-makers. On behalf of my family and the team at The Rockefeller Foundation, I send my condolences to his wife U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and their family and friends.
