The Rockefeller Foundation is deeply saddened by the passing of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej. We offer our condolences to the Thai royal family and to the people of Thailand. Our hearts and minds are with them during this time of sorrow.
For seven decades, the world’s longest reigning monarch was a much-revered and unifying figure. His work and vision have inspired many people, at home and abroad. He devoted much of his time and efforts to advance the well-being of the Thai people, reaching out to the poorest and most vulnerable.
He will forever be remembered as the King of Development.
