Sheroes of Sustainability at the Forefront of Climate Action

The quarter's online magazine centers on women across the globe making headway in the climate crisis fight.

The latest data from the World Economic Forum says it will take 131 years to close the gender gap at the current rate. A sobering number.

But the good news is that women are becoming increasingly empowered to become environmental stewards, contributing to and benefitting from climate action. The Gender Action Plan agreed by governments under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change calls for women’s full, equal, and meaningful participation in the international climate process.

This involvement contributes to more effective, inclusive, and sustainable solutions while addressing gender inequities.

In this quarter’s Matter of Impact, we dive into how women’s visions are reshaping the world’s climate. From providing climate financing to empowering women climate analysts, documenting climate impacts, and supporting solar installations, the women we work with are helping pave the way forward.
