- Overall vaccine acceptance: Most respondents reported that they have either received a Covid-19 vaccine definitely intend to get it (a total of 74% to 91% of respondents in each city).
- Trends over time: We saw no change in the top barriers or motivators for vaccination in the January and February data, and very similar beliefs and attitudes about vaccination among unvaccinated respondent as in previous months
- Booster Shots: Among survey respondents that had received a Covid-19 vaccine already, many said they would definitely get a booster shot or have gotten a booster shot already (52-73% of respondents in each city, up from 39-72% in November/December).
- Child Vaccinations:
- Around three-quarters of the vaccinated parents we spoke to have gotten any of their 5–17-year-old children vaccinated; only a few unvaccinated parents report having gotten their 5–17-year-old children vaccinated.
- Similar to the last report, we saw that many respondents (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) who are parents of unvaccinated children under 18 years old reported wanting more time to wait and see before getting their unvaccinated children their first Covid-19 vaccine and were concerned about potential side effects of the vaccine for their children.
- The majority of vaccinated parents reported believing the vaccine is safe and effective in children, and that the vaccine will help to protect the health of their family and community. Very few unvaccinated parents reported having these beliefs.
