Project: “TRACING THE ARC OF RADICAL SCIENTIFIC IDEAS”
Priyamvada Natarajana is a theoretical astrophysicist and scholar who is noted for her work probing the nature of dark matter and dark energy, using gravitational lensing, and for developing models that describe the assembly and growth histories of black holes in the universe. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed book, Mapping the Heavens: The Radical Scientific Ideas That Reveal the Cosmos. Priyamvada visited Bellagio in July 2023 to finish a book that traces and demystifies the process of acceptance of radical scientific ideas. She is currently a professor in both the Astronomy and Physics departments at Yale University.
