Project: “Polarization and Courts: Supreme and Constitutional Courts in the Age of Polarization”
Iddo Porat is a scholar and researcher specializing in constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, and legal theory. He previously clerked at the Israeli Supreme Court and earned his LLM and JSD from Stanford University. Iddo visited Bellagio in February 2023 to work on his new book project which examines the destabilizing effects of political polarization on supreme and constitutional courts around the globe and suggests structural remedies to address them. Iddo is currently an Associate Professor of Law at the College of Law and Business.
