Jill Hamilton

Jill Hamilton is a communications specialist with a proven track record in advancing urgent global issues through policy and advocacy efforts. She has worked in thirty countries and lived in eleven, with a special focus on emerging economies. Jill has acted as an advisor to many multinationals, high net-worth families, nonprofit organizations, and global influencers.

Jill joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2022 as Director of Communications, Policy, and Advocacy to help advance a global Covid-19 response and recovery effort. Currently she sits within the Power and Climate program team where she leads the Foundation’s influence work on key access, climate, and equity issues related to the energy transition landscape in low-and-middle-income countries.

She was previously Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Weber Shandwick, the world’s leading communications firm, managing their African operations across 40+ markets. Under her leadership the agency was ranked in the top three consultancies across sub–Saharan Africa, winning numerous awards for their global and regional work.

Having worked primarily in developing economies, Jill is interested in complex landscapes and helping to solve some of the world’s most important and pressing issues. She holds high-level leadership positions at both advisory and board levels.
