Big Bet: Help jobseekers in New York access well-paying clean energy career pathways by creating an easy-to-use, navigable database of training programs and relevant certifications.
Project: Bringing Clarity to Clean Energy Pathways is building a public database that helps people find and access training for clean energy pathways. Today, information about certifications and training programs is scattered and hard to navigate, making it difficult for many people to get started in these careers. This project brings that information into one trusted, easy-to-use system that supports jobseekers, career advisors, and workforce organizations. Starting in New York, it aims to open clearer pathways into stable, well-paying pathways (and which training programs & certifications will help them get there) while helping more communities benefit from the growing clean energy economy.
Angela N. Son is accelerating the transition to an equitable green economy by building innovative solutions and tools for a better-coordinated clean energy workforce ecosystem. As the Founder and CEO of The Green Launchpad, she develops critical tools and infrastructure to bridge the gap between jobseekers, training programs, and clean energy employers. Hailing from Vancouver, BC, Angela leverages strategic expertise from her previous experience as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and a data startup leader to tackle systemic challenges in workforce development. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
