Abhisvara Sinha

Abhisvara is a Senior Associate focusing on advancing strategic grantee partnerships of the Power & Climate team via the Global Energy Alliance for People & Planet, as well as supporting the strategy and execution of the broader team portfolio. She manages and guides grantees efforts on electrification for hardest-to-reach communities.

Prior to The Rockefeller Foundation, Abhisvara worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture where she advised government agencies and government-owned companies in Southeast Asia. Additionally, Abhisvara was selected as a Young Global Professional at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Centre specializing on climate adaptation. Through her academic and professional experiences, Abhisvara has worked on a variety of issues related to the just energy transition – exploring energy equity and development for vulnerable communities, climate resilience and adaption, and international climate finance. Abhisvara is a published writer, having served as a staff writer and freelance contributor on sociopolitical issues for a variety of leading publications including the Indian Express, the Times of India, and the Stimson Center’s South Asian Voices.

Abhisvara Sinha holds a Bachelor of Arts in History & Politics from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Energy & Environment Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
