Our Current Big Bets
1. Universal Energy Abundance:
For all of us, electricity powers opportunity, dignity, and security in the 21st century. With 730 million people still living without access to electricity, we are making a big bet with partners to electrify 1 billion people, including 300 million in Africa by 2030.

In the U.S., chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, and heart disease affect an estimated 133 million Americans, driving our work with partners on a big bet to scale Food is Medicine programs nationwide. Globally, over 300 million school-aged children lack access to a nutritious meal, despite school meals providing up to a 35x return on investment as the world’s most extensive social safety net. We’re collaborating to help 100 million children get access to nutritious, sustainable school meals. Good food is good for patients, students, farmers, and many more.
