Statement by Elizabeth Yee, Executive Vice President of The Rockefeller Foundation, on Science and Data
This past week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reversed its long-held stance that greenhouse gas emissions threaten the health and welfare of our planet and everyone on it. This decision does not change the reality of those threats. Decades of research and data make clear that this pollution harms public health, destabilizes communities, and limits the United States’ economic competitiveness.
The Rockefeller Foundation believes in science and data. Looking for the truth, asking hard questions, and finding new answers are at the core of American leadership, prosperity, and security. We will continue to pursue our evidence-based work to support the science and innovation that protect public health, promote opportunity, and improve lives in the United States and beyond.
