GREENVILLE, NC; NEW YORK | November 24, 2025 — Beast Philanthropy, the charitable organization founded by Jimmy Donaldson, the world’s #1 creator known globally as MrBeast, and The Rockefeller Foundation today announced a strategic partnership to collaborate, learn from each other, and drive progress for the most vulnerable. The collaboration brings together Beast Philanthropy’s next-generation storytelling expertise and The Rockefeller Foundation’s more than 112-year track record in advancing billions of lives in the United States and abroad with good food, health care, electricity, and jobs. In addition to its global reach, Beast Philanthropy has a proven track record of funding and executing high-impact relief efforts across food insecurity, education, and housing support, and mobilizing its audience to execute successful calls to action. This is the first strategic partnership for Beast Philanthropy.
Today, members of Generations Z (ages 13-28) and Alpha (ages 1-13) include almost 4 billion people around the world, representing nearly half of humanity. Many of them spend 7 to 9 hours per day on screens, often passively consuming. A 2023 survey from Morning Consult suggests that young people trust creators like MrBeast more than governments, brands, and institutions. Nearly nine in 10 Gen Zers and millennials said in a 2024 Deloitte survey that purpose is important to their job satisfaction and they are increasingly likely to turn down work or employers that do not align with their values. This strategic partnership is designed to meet young people where they are—online—and channel their desire for purpose into meaningful global action.
“Content has the power to inspire kindness. Joining forces with such a respected and philanthropic powerhouse like The Rockefeller Foundation will help us reach even more people to take action and use creativity as a force for good,” said Jimmy Donaldson, Founder of Beast Philanthropy, which is partnering with The Rockefeller Foundation to engage its depth of experience in global development, poverty alleviation, and sustainable impact.
In this new partnership, The Rockefeller Foundation and Beast Philanthropy will encourage people young and old to see philanthropy not as a distant act, but as a shared movement—where kindness goes viral and inspires real action. This includes an initiative in which Beast Philanthropy and The Rockefeller Foundation will use the latest storytelling strategies and content from their and their partners’ charitable programs to make stories about charitable giving accessible, approachable, and actionable. This project will commence with a trip to Ghana in the first quarter of next year, during which both institutions’ teams will learn from one another’s work in development, community-led change, and global storytelling. Over the coming years, a series of shared initiatives and announcements will further this collaboration and each institution’s mission.
“Jimmy and the Beast Philanthropy team have shown a singular capacity to connect with people around the world. At a disruptive and divisive time, this unlikely partnership has the power to make big things possible by inspiring more and more people, especially young people, to want to make change in our communities, countries, and the wider world,” said Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation, which will advance its big bets through Beast Philanthropy’s storytelling, amplification, and engaging the next generation of global changemakers.
In its short history, Beast Philanthropy has provided millions of meals to families facing food insecurity in America, built homes and schools in communities across Africa and Latin America, and is on a mission to help eradicate child labor in the cocoa industry, starting in Ghana. In 2025, the Beast Philanthropy and WaterAid initiative—#TeamWater—raised $40 million to bring clean water to 2 million people worldwide for decades. Over the last five years, The Rockefeller Foundation has committed to several big bets, investing more than a billion dollars to connect a billion people to electricity, make regenerative, nutritious school meals universal, respond to new health threats, and provide jobs and opportunity where they are needed most. In the last two years, The Rockefeller Foundation has launched Big Bets Fellowships in Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and the United States, to connect and train emerging leaders working to strengthen their communities.
