CURRENT INITIATIVE

Overview

The African School of Regulation (ASR) was established to help expand a skilled group of regulators dedicated to advancing Africa’s transition to a sustainable energy model. ASR aims to enhance the quality of energy regulation and policy across the continent as a center of excellence for independent dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Incubated by the African Capacity Building Foundation in Accra, Ghana, the ASR was officially launched in September 2023 during the Africa Climate Summit. The school is endorsed and supported by The Rockefeller Foundation and others.
