Toward Preventing Pandemics in the First 100 Days

In this video, Dr. Rick Bright shares three things that hold the key to early pandemic response.

Collaborating with 21 organizations from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, The Rockefeller Foundation is working to build a pandemic prevention institute that will use data insights to help the world achieve its collective goal of stopping any potential pandemic threat within 100 days of an outbreak.

The foundation’s pandemic prevention institute will support a better global understanding of current and future pathogenic threats, where they are spreading, and how they affect populations. It will work with other pandemic prevention efforts, including the Federal Republic of Germany’s WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence, the UK’s Global Pandemic Radar, to transform global capacity to drive resources earlier and more precisely to where they are needed to stop outbreaks before they spread.
