Dirty cooking is #Solvable

José Andrés explains how providing clean cookstoves to the 3 billion people around the world who need them will improve their health, lessen the global carbon footprint, and free up more time, especially for young girls, to devote to education.

José Andrés is a chef and founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), a non-profit that uses the power of food to strengthen communities through times of crisis and beyond. Created in response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, World Central Kitchen has served meals across the United States and in Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique, Colombia, and Venezuela. WCK served nearly 4 million meals in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria in 2017 and has most recently served more than 500,000 meals in The Bahamas in the weeks following Hurricane Dorian.
