Access to clean energy is #Solvable

Access to clean energy is #Solvable. Jules Kortenhorst argues that we can reframe the lack of access to power in the developing world as an opportunity to skip the usual trajectory and introduce clean energy sources in the immediate future.

Jules Kortenhorst is the Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), an independent, nonprofit “think-and-do” tank that advances market-based solutions that transform global energy use to create a clean, prosperous, and secure future. Prior to Rocky Mountain Institute, Kortenorst was the founding CEO of the European Climate Foundation, the largest philanthropic organization dedicated to policy development and advocacy on climate change in Europe.

Learn how RMI’s experience working in several communities in Nigeria, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda, and small island countries helped shape their strategies to provide electricity access to rural communities in this blog.
