Sonal Shah is the Founding Executive Director at the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Georgetown University. Shah, an economist and entrepreneur, has spent her career focused on actionable innovation in the public and private sectors. She has worked in government, business, and the nonprofit sectors. Shah has also served as the Deputy Assistant to the President and founding Director of the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation during the Obama administration. Recently, she had taken a leave of absence to work as National Policy Director for presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.
