Paul Greener

Chief Executive Officer, Water Unite

Paul Greener is the Chief Executive of Water Unite – the Global Investment Fund for Water, a platform for the bottled water sector to engage collectively in the achievement of the SDGs. By capturing a tiny fraction of bottled water revenues, it aims to generate a sustained source of funds for catalytic investments in WASH and waste management. Feasibility analyses indicate the potential to raise $100-200 million per year in a ‘pioneer’ phase by working with a select group of pioneer companies. Over 10-15 years, Water Unite aims to raise much greater sums for investment and to become an integral part of the sector.

Previously, Dr. Greener was the CEO of the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund – a multi-donor funded vehicle that seeks to leverage the creativity, capacity, and resources of the private sector to impact on the rural poor in Africa. He has 30 years of experience in development with the Australian aid agency and for private development foundations.
