Khan Ram-Indra joined The Rockefeller Foundation in April 2020 as Director, Asia Region based in Bangkok. In this position, Khan is responsible for leading, managing, and implementing the influence and advocacy strategy for the Foundation in Asia, particularly in China, India, and Thailand.
Khan brings extensive experience to the Foundation. Previously, he served as the Country Representative at the Global Green Growth Institute, where he led the program and had overall responsibility for setting strategic directions of the program in Thailand.
Prior to that, he served at USAID/Regional Development Mission for Asia as a Program Development Specialist. During his tenure, he designed new regional climate change mitigation and clean energy programs to address regional challenges and the U.S. government’s priorities. Khan also worked at the British Embassy in Bangkok as Climate Change Attaché. In this role, he engaged with the Thai government on climate change negotiations and other climate-related issues.
Khan received Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics and Natural Resource Economics from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand; and a Master of Business Administration in Energy and Environment Management from the University of Twente, the Netherlands.
