Janette sits on the Leadership team at the United States Digital Response (USDR), a nonprofit that helps governments and other nonprofits deliver responsive, people-centered services with modern and resilient technology. Janette leads the Projects Team, a volunteer-driven team responsible for delivering services to and in partnership with government and non-profit agencies, by developing new tools and processes to scale critical programs that support the needs of the public.
Janette has over a decade of experience as a product leader at various consumer-facing technology companies including Lyft, Microsoft, and Zynga. She has always been interested in designing systems that support user needs, are engaging (or even fun to use), and can scale and support millions of diverse users.
Janette earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Masters in Human Computer Interaction from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
