Ciara Remerscheid joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2018. As the Strategic Projects Manager for the Power Initiative, Ms. Remerscheid supports the Power Initiative’s aim to end energy poverty and transform the lives and livelihoods of at least 200 million people over the next decade through decentralized renewable energy.
Ms. Remerscheid supports a series of strategic place-based partnerships in Africa and Asia to deliver reliable energy access and drive productive energy use for the world’s energy-poor.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Remerscheid served as the Bellagio 60 Project Manager where she oversaw the execution of three 60th anniversary events happening at The Foundation’s Bellagio Center and helped coordinate a suite of related communications and advocacy assets, notably the #Solvable campaign.
Ciara brings with her a strong international background having lived, studied and worked in Italy, the U.S. and the U.K., focused on international development and the field of human rights. Previously, Ciara ran her own independent consulting firm, and worked for an array of non-profits, charities and think tanks at home and abroad.
Ciara received her B.A. in Political Science and Italian Studies with honors from New York University, her Masters in Global Politics from the London School of Economics, and her Masters of Law in Human Rights from SOAS.
