Project: “Uniting a divided climate movement to leverage economic investments for the most physically and socially vulnerable”
Amy Chester is an expert climate adaptation practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in municipal policy, community engagement, real estate development and communications. She visited Bellagio in May 2023 to create a strategy to bring together the two sides of the currently divided climate movement – carbon reduction and climate adaptation. Amy is currently the Managing Director of Rebuild by Design, an organization that helps governments and communities around the world to address challenges such as climate change, transportation, housing, community collaboration and equity. She previously worked for NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor for Legislative Affairs as well as for the New York City Council and Housing Authority.
