Amanda Ballantyne, J.D.

Executive Director, Business Education Fund

Amanda Ballantyne serves as Executive Director for the Business Education Fund, and all associated projects, including the Main Street Alliance. Ms. Ballantyne provides strategic direction to the organization as well as oversight of all of its field offices and operations. She joined the Main Street Alliance in the fall of 2013. She brings more than a decade of progressive organizing, policy and legal experience. Before taking over the leadership of Main Street, Amanda worked for some of the most active and effective organizations in the progressive sector including Public Citizen and Free Press. She brings deep skills in organizing from her early career work as a labor organizer and combines this with astute policy analysis skills which she honed while for CWA and SEIU. Amanda graduated from Smith College and earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.
