Keisha Senter joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2011. As Senior Associate Director, President’s Office, Ms. Senter is responsible for strategic external events and affairs for the Foundation President and leads the President’s Discretionary Fund.
Prior to joining The Rockefeller Foundation, Ms. Senter spent the last decade mobilizing the next generation of changemakers, building world-class brands, and providing strategic support to leaders at the highest levels of politics, sports, and philanthropy.
She came to the Foundation from the Clinton Global Initiative, where she was the founding director of the Clinton Global Initiative University, which challenges the next generation of leaders to make commitments to solve some the world’s most pressing challenges. Ms. Senter honed her expertise in youth mobilization efforts through a number of different roles, including Deputy Director of Campus Progress of the Center for American Progress and program director for the Asomugha College Tour for Students. Ms. Senter got her start in politics as an Outreach Liaison for United States Senator Charles E. Schumer in his New York office and as a field organizer for his 2004 re-election campaign.
Ms. Senter holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Dublin City University and a bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University.
