Josh Murphy joined The Rockefeller Foundation in 2013. As an Associate Director in the president’s office, Mr. Murphy conducted research and prepared comprehensive briefings and talking points for the president’s public events, trips, and meetings across a broad domain of external programs, initiatives, and policy areas. He also co-managed the president’s discretionary fund.
Prior to joining The Rockefeller Foundation, Mr. Murphy served as the special assistant to the director and senior vice president of Generation Progress at the Center for American Progress. He has also worked at the Bipartisan Policy Center, City Year, and the Central Office of D.C. Public Schools.
Mr. Murphy received a bachelor’s degree in government and world affairs from the University of Tampa, and has published two books: “Writings from a Teenage Mind” and “Generation We Solve: Cause the Effect.”
