Erissa Scalera is the Senior Communications Officer for The Rockefeller Foundation, based in the New York office. She joined the Foundation in 2012, and is responsible for strategic external communications efforts for the Foundation president and a range of initiatives that includes the Foundation’s work in health, transportation, and youth employment. Prior to joining The Rockefeller Foundation, Ms. Scalera worked as a communications associate with the Kaiser Family Foundation, where she coordinated strategy to support and leverage the work of the global health, HIV, and health reform policy teams through both traditional and social media. Previously, she covered transportation issues as a reporter for WAMU 88.5 in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Scalera holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts degree in journalism and public affairs from American University.
