Mrs. Anne Mbaabu, a Kenyan national, holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Food Science & Technology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Anne has over 35 years’ experience in the food industry and in international development. Currently she is the Head, Markets and Harvest Management at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), charged with market transformation to link smallholder African farmers of food staples to markets and value chains with special focus on harvest management including post-harvest loss management and women engagement.

Prior to joining AGRA, Mrs. Mbaabu was the Executive Director of the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) in Nairobi, Kenya, a membership organization with mandate to improve national and regional trade in cereals and other staples in Eastern Africa. She was previously the Managing Director of Proctor & Allan East Africa Ltd, a consumer foods manufacturing and marketing company and has held other senior management positions in the food industry, with Unga Group Ltd, Unga Feeds Ltd, and CPC Kenya Ltd. She has undertaken various consultancies in management in the food industry for key UN agencies, SMEs development, and value chain analysis and structured trading systems. Anne is a key advocate of public private partnerships for sustainability and agricultural transformation in Africa.
