School Meals

Current Initiative

Overview

Food insecurity among children is rising fast, slowing cognitive and physical development. Nutritious school meals are the world’s most extensive social safety net. Our approach is to attract stakeholder commitments, shape program designs, support governments, and ensure school meal programs are climate-conscious.

A next-generation approach:
Regenerative School Meals

In addition to expanding coverage and improving nutrition, we are advancing Regenerative School Meals — school feeding programs that connect local farmers practicing regenerative agriculture with public procurement systems. This approach not only nourishes children but also strengthens local economies, builds more climate-resilient food systems, and rewards sustainable farming practices.
