Local Transportation to Bellagio:

INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS: Ground transportation arrangements from Milan to Bellagio are arranged by The Rockefeller Foundation at no cost to the resident. Residents must provide their travel information in the registration system so that the Resident Coordinator can arrange ground transportation to Bellagio. The Resident Coordinator may group participants arriving at similar times into the same vehicle transport to minimize the total number of trips.

INFORMATION FOR CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS: Bellagio is about two hours from Milan. We highly recommend allowing the Bellagio Center to organize transport from Milan to Bellagio rather than asking participants to make their own way there by public or private transport. During registration, conference participants are required to decide how they wish to travel to Bellagio.

The Bellagio Center meeting coordinator in Italy will help coordinate ground transportation to Bellagio and will attempt to group participants into vehicle transport depending on arrival times to minimize the total number of trips. As part of the conference award package, the Foundation will cover costs associated with ground transportation from the city of Milan (local airports/train stations) to Bellagio (time and location to be decided according to needs) that is arranged by the Bellagio Center meeting coordinator.

Participants may choose to drive in their own car, take a cab at the airport, book a car service, or make use of public transportation (limited during low season, i.e. winter), but the Foundation will not reimburse personally-arranged ground transportation.
