New York, New York--Dr. Judith Rodin, President of the Rockefeller Foundation, announced that Dr. Zia Khan has been appointed Vice President for Strategy and Evaluation, effective today. Khan was previously a partner and Vice President of Booz & Company, a global management consulting firm.

“My colleagues and I are delighted to welcome Zia to the Foundation,” said Dr. Rodin. “He brings extraordinary expertise in strategic planning, organizational development, and program evaluation – and will support our efforts to build even greater efficiency and accountability into our work. The beginning of Zia’s tenure represents another milestone in our effort to apply innovative management practices toward maximizing our impact.”

In his new role at the Rockefeller Foundation, Dr. Khan will oversee strategy development, research and knowledge management capabilities, implementation of results based management systems, and ongoing organizational development.

He is co-author of an upcoming book with Jon Katzenbach about how organizations can mobilize informal connections to balance formal structures and realize breakthroughs in performance.
